Your data on Vaultra
What the server keeps, for how long, and every outside service your game talks to while you play.
This policy is a draft. It will be finalised before Vaultra opens to the public.
Who we are
Vaultra RP is a Garry's Mod DarkRP server. This page covers the game server, its loading screen at load.vaultra.gg and this website, vaultra.gg. For questions or requests about your data, contact the server team through our community channels once they open.
Website and loading screen
- Hosting. Both are static pages served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare receives your IP address and each request in order to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks; see Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
- No tracking. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party fonts or scripts. Our fonts are hosted on our own domain.
- The loading screen is shown by your game while it connects. Its address carries no SteamID, and it plays no YouTube or other outside media. Your game passes it the server name, map and gamemode, which stay in your game.
What the server keeps
The game server stores what it needs to run the game and to moderate it. All of it stays on our server.
| What | Includes | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Player profile | SteamID, in-game name, wallet, saved job data | While you play; ask us to delete it |
| Admin player records | SteamID, name, IP address, staff group, country | 90 days after your last join |
| Server logs | Chat, connections and staff actions | A short rolling window, then deleted |
| Warnings and staff notes | Warnings, reasons, the staff member | Kept for moderation history |
| Anti-crash logs | SteamID and name next to crash events | 30 days |
| Coin flip history | The two players' SteamIDs and the bet | 30 days |
| Game progress | Battle Pass, research points, grow-op stock, scoreboard covers, F4 favourites | While you play |
| Backups | Copies of all of the above | Up to 6 months (7 daily, 4 weekly, 6 monthly copies) |
When you join
Some of the server's add-ons contact outside services automatically. Each of these sees your IP address.
Contacted by the server, about you
- lib.venner.io (admin logs): the server sends your IP address, over unencrypted HTTP, to look up your country for the connection log.
Contacted by your game
- Steam (Valve): the server's Workshop content downloads, and player avatar images.
- Imgur (i.imgur.com) and its fallback i.hizliresim.com: icons and images for the grow-op, F4 menu, coin flip, scoreboard and casino.
- GitHub and GitLab: language files and an interface icon for the F4 menu, coin flip and chat box.
- g4p.org: the warning system's version check.
- gmodstore.com: the anti-crash add-on's version check.
- DuckDuckGo's image proxy: only if a scoreboard image fails to load; it then fetches images through the proxy for the rest of your session.
When you click something
- Player profile cards on the scoreboard load that player's public Steam profile and avatar.
- The Steam and Discord tabs in the F4 menu open those sites.
- The Battle Pass store opens our store page, run by PayNow, when you choose to buy.
- Staff checks: during a support sit, a staff member can look up the sit player's public Steam profile (account age, game hours, bans).
Server-only services
These calls are made by the server and carry no data about players:
- Licence checks for paid add-ons (xeon.network, app.goobie.me): the server's address and licence details.
- Warning-system statistics (g4p.org): the server's name, address, map and add-on version, every 30 minutes.
- Price feed (Coinbase): public crypto prices for the in-game exchange.
- Version checks (GitHub, gmodstore.com): whether add-ons are up to date.
Visible to other players
- Your in-game name, job and Steam avatar, as on any DarkRP server.
- The scoreboard shows each player's Steam country as a flag.
Your choices
- You can ask us what we hold about you, or to delete your player profile and records. Backups age out within 6 months.
- Data that outside services receive is handled under their own privacy policies.
- If this page changes, the date below changes with it.
